This time around the VSD image is a landscape. I was not very excited about the image at first, since I was in a still life mode of late and was expecting one. :-) But had a blast doing it. I went in for a very loose style, no sketching whatsoever. Just painted as I felt like. It is Acrylics on Paper.
Be sure to check the Virtual Sketch Date blog tomorrow to see all the entries. I am really looking forward to it.
Too good, Nithya! Reminded of Impressionistic paintings. The tree foreground reminds Van Gogh's painting - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Van_Gogh_the_blooming_plumtree_(after_Hiroshige),_1887.jpg.
ReplyDeleteI love the blue and different green shades for trees.
Great job!
I like how you made sense of the somewhat confusing background and how you balanced the yellow leaves on the left with some yellow in the background on the right.
ReplyDeleteNice strong colors and intrepretation.
ReplyDeleteI love that you just went for it!
ReplyDeleteNice bold colours.
Very lively and free expression with great colors!
ReplyDeleteI love the calligraphy of your brush strokes - of the branches, the leaves, and the shadows. The tree has movement, as if it is a very windy November day. Nice work. ~ Kim
ReplyDeleteThe colors are lively and the strokes give it life. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteI love the tree's boldness, it says "here i am, notice me." the background supports this so well....love the colors too. Great job.
